NEW DELHI: HMD Global, the company which owns the right to sell and manufacture Nokia branded smartphones revealed the complete roadmap for the Android 11 update for Nokia smartphones. Keeping to its promise the company began Android 11 roll out and so far Nokia 8.3 5G, Nokia 8.1, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 2.2, Nokia 2.3 and Nokia 2.4 have received Android 11 update.
But it appears that the company has made some changes in the Android 11 roadmap. As per the revised roadmap, the Nokia smartphone users will have to wait longer to experience Android 11 on their smartphones. The revised roadmap reveals that all the Nokia phones will not get Android 11 update in Q2, 2021.
The company has now revealed that the Nokia 6.2, Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 9 Pureview will receive Android 11 update in Q3, 2021. This means that now the Nokia 6.2, Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 9 Pureview users will have to wait longer to experience Android 11 on their devices.
Last month HMD Global, announced new smartphones as part of three new series. The company announced the Nokia X-series, G-series and C-series today. While the X-series is the most powerful of the lot, the G-series and C-series are mid-range and entry-level offerings.
Each series includes two handsets thereby marking a launch of six new smartphones — Nokia X20, Nokia X10, Nokia G20, Nokia G10, Nokia C20 and Nokia C10.
