OnePlus has rolled out a new software update–OxygenOS– for OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro users in India. The new software update also includes the April 2021 Android security patch along with camera improvements. This is the fourth software update for OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9 users within a month of its launch.

The new software update is of 349MB and users are highly recommended to keep a backup of their personal data before hitting the update button.

OnePlus has introduced several bug fixes and claims that the new update will further keep the device cool.

Recently, OnePlus released OxygenOS to improve battery life, system stability, camera performance along with network connectivity functions. As per the change log, the OxygenOS improved the power consumption performance to extend the battery life and fixes known issues and improved system stability.

Soon after OnePlus had released the new phones, the company had released the first update to boost connectivity, camera, system performance and fix bugs. The second update– OxygenOS– introduced a range of performance enhancements along with the Android security update for the month of March 2021.

The OnePlus 9 Pro runs OxygenOS based on Android 11 and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC with 8GB or 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB UFS3.1 storage. The OnePlus 9 starts at Rs 49,999 while the 9 Pro at Rs 64,999.
