Disney+ Hotstar app picture-in-picture (PiP) mode arriving soon

[ad_1]

Disney has been pumping a lot of money into making the Disney Plus Hotstar app a sensation at least in India.

The app picked up the heat after its integration with Disney that brought colors to the bland desert of Hotstar’s life with a wide variety of shows.

The Disney+ Hotstar app enjoys incredible viewerships during the Indian Premier League (IPL) as well.

The app saw massive improvements after it was taken over by Disney including some new features to make the app a good pick among users.

Picture-in-picture mode is one such feature that made its debut on the Disney Plus Hotstar website followed by the app.

The PiP mode allows users to stream the present content in a minimized window, giving enough room on the Disney+ Hotstar app’s screen to wander around.

But it now appears that this feature vanished for a few users after a recent in-app update, possibly due to bugs and stability concerns.

Frequent users of Hotstar+ Disney took to social media channels to express their desires to have the PiP feature back in the app.

@hotstar_helps
picture in picture view was working few days back and then I updated the app and now it’s not working.. solution please..

Responding to this, the customer support of the OTT app assured that teams are already on it and the feature is already under testing.

Hi! We are working on this feature; in fact, it’s already in testing. Will be available soon.

It’s about a wait of a couple of weeks to have the feature reintegrated into the application.

IPL’s suspended for the time being, but there are tons of other shows from Disney that can be watched and enjoyed on the Disney+ Hotstar app.

We will inform you as soon as the feature is back in the application so stay tuned.
